Remarkable People Who Changed the World

Have you ever done something really brave or kind that helped other people? 🌟 Some people in history did such amazing things that the whole world remembers them! Today we meet three of those remarkable people.

First, meet Queen Victoria 👑. She was a queen of Britain who lived from 1819 to 1901. She became queen when she was only 18 years old! She ruled for 63 years — longer than almost any other British monarch before her.

Next, meet Florence Nightingale 🕯️. She lived from 1820 to 1910. She became a nurse when many people thought nursing was not a proper job. She went to care for soldiers who were very ill during the Crimean War.

Florence noticed that hospitals were dirty and that was making soldiers even sicker. She worked hard to make wards clean and safe. Her ideas changed the way nurses are trained all over the world. She is called the founder of modern nursing.

Now meet Christopher Columbus ⚓. He was an explorer who lived from 1451 to 1506. In 1492, he sailed west from Europe hoping to find a new route to Asia. Instead, he reached lands in the Americas that Europeans had never visited before.
