  1. À L'École — Life at SchoolPupils learn to name classroom objects and school subjects in French, use 'J'aime' and 'Je n'aime pas' to share opinions, and understand how French nouns have a gender (masculine or feminine) that changes the word for 'a' or 'the'.
  2. Mon Corps et Ma Santé — My Body and HealthPupils learn to name ten body parts in French, use 'J'ai mal à…' to say what hurts, and conjugate the verb 'avoir' in the first, second and third person singular.
  3. La Nourriture — Food Glorious FoodPupils learn French food and drink vocabulary, express likes and dislikes, and practise ordering food in a French café using key phrases.
  4. Les Saisons et la Météo — Seasons and WeatherPupils learn the four seasons and six or more weather phrases in French, practise using 'En été / En hiver…' constructions, and build towards writing a short paragraph about their favourite season.
