They compare features by ear using accurate vocabulary and reflect on personal responses to unfamiliar styles.
  3. The Composer's Toolkit: Developing Musical IdeasPupils discover how composers develop musical ideas using repetition, sequence, contrast, and variation. They listen analytically, learn precise vocabulary, and plan a short composition using at least two techniques — all without needing a live instrument.
