Data and Graphs

Data is information that we collect and organise. You might count how many children chose each favourite fruit, or record the temperature each day for a week.

A bar chart uses bars to show amounts. The height of each bar tells you the value. The axis labels tell you what is being measured and what scale is used. For example, a bar reaching up to 8 means a count of 8.
