  1. Ma Ville et Mon Quartier — My Town and NeighbourhoodPupils learn to name places in a French town, use directional phrases, and describe their local area using 'il y a' and 'on peut'.
  2. Le Temps Libre — Hobbies and Free TimePupils learn French vocabulary for hobbies and free-time activities, practise expressing likes, dislikes and preferences using j'aime, je n'aime pas and je préfère, and use frequency adverbs such as souvent, quelquefois and jamais to talk about how often they do things. By the end of the lesson, pupils can hold a short conversation about free time in French.
  3. Les Vêtements — What Are You Wearing?Pupils learn to name French clothing items with correct articles, apply masculine and feminine adjectival agreement, and use the verb 'porter' to describe outfits in spoken and written French.
  4. Les Aventures et Les Voyages — Adventures and TravelPupils learn to name countries and nationalities in French, use transport vocabulary, and produce a short past-tense travel recount using phrases like 'je suis allé(e) à…' and 'j'ai vu…'. The lesson builds from vocabulary to a reading comprehension and then to creative production.
