Bodies, Puberty and Taking Care of MyselfPupils deepen their understanding of puberty by exploring physical and emotional changes, learning practical hygiene routines, and identifying trusted people and reliable sources of support. The lesson uses a step-by-step build, interactive activities and reassuring language to help Year 6 pupils feel confident and informed.
  2. Pressure, Risk and Keeping SafePupils learn to recognise health risks linked to tobacco, alcohol and other drugs, understand how peer pressure and media influence work, practise assertive refusal strategies, and know when and how to get help — including basic first-aid steps for emergencies.
  3. Relationships, Respect and the Wider WorldPupils explore what makes relationships healthy and respectful — online and offline — learning about privacy, consent, diversity and how to challenge discrimination. They practise identifying healthy versus unhealthy relationship signs, sorting conflict strategies, and finish with a quiz to check understanding.
  4. My Future: Aspirations, Money and the World of WorkPupils explore their personal strengths, interests and values and connect these to real future pathways. They learn how income, saving and budgeting work together through realistic scenarios, and finish by reflecting on the exciting transition to secondary school and setting personal goals.
