Electricity: Voltage, Components and CircuitsChildren explore how voltage from cells drives current through circuits, investigating how adding more cells increases brightness and motor speed, naming components and their functions, drawing circuit diagrams using standard symbols, and planning a fair test.
  5. Evolution and InheritanceChildren explore evolution and inheritance, learning how offspring inherit traits from both parents but show natural variation, how adaptation over many generations leads to evolution, and how Charles Darwin's work and fossil evidence support the theory of natural selection.

Scientists at Work: Investigating Our WorldChildren consolidate their working scientifically skills by planning fair tests, recording and analysing data, spotting patterns and anomalies, drawing evidence-based conclusions, and communicating findings — all through the context of a paper helicopter investigation.
